Blurry Vision
Toric contact lenses are for patients that suffer from astigmatism. This is a condition that will cause the patient to see items with almost blurry or fuzzy edges. This is caused by different shape of the cornea. This can be corrected with special contact lenses. The toric lens with correct a patients astigmatism and there nearsightedness or farsightedness. Patients that suffer from astigmatism used to only be able to wear rigid gas permeable hard lenses but recently soft contact lenses have also started treat this disorder. In the past many patients with astigmatism would just choose not to wear contacts.
